THE ANTI-VIDEO PROJECT ASSOCIATION

Home: Welcome

ABOUT US

Our Ideology

No student should have to stray from traditional assignments in school, as puts them in very uncomfortable situations. Many students have anxiety, are introverts, or have a disliking of creative assignments. They should not be forced to do something they really don’t want to do, just so they can pass.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO DOES THE ANTI-VIDEO PRODUCT ASSOCIATION CATER TO?

We cater to your average student. Anybody who feels like the type of assignments given aren't what they should be. Anybody who feels like there needs to be a change to accommodate the creatively challenged.

WHAT CAN I DO FOR THE ANTI-VIDEO PROJECT ASSOCIATION?

There are many avenues a prospective member of the Anti-Video Project Society to look in to. Whether it's financial aid, volunteering, or spreading our message, we can always use another member to help us grow.

WHAT WILL THE ANTI-VIDEO PROJECT ASSOCIATION DO FOR ME?

We will fight for your right to have a comfortable class. No more cruel and unusual assignments. No longer should you have to suffer through another poster or video made for an assignment. We want you to be able to have options, and take the route that you feel comfortable with.

OUR GOALS

OFFER STUDENTS OTHER MEANS OF PROJECT COMPLETION

Many students are accepting of change in the classroom, but not at the expense of their own comfortability. We support open-ended assignments that allow students to choose the medium in which they complete the project.

NOT HAVE STUDENT FORCED INTO CREATIVITY

Some people are just not creative minded. Far too often, students are told that they have to make a video, write a song, draw a poster, or some other form of a creative project to pass the class. It's not right to force the student to do something they aren't comfortable doing.

PROTECT STUDENTS FROM THE ANXIETY INDUCED BY CREATIVE ASSIGNMENTS

All students react to the stresses of assignments differently. While most can handle it, some can't. Subjecting student to the anxiety of large projects is not only irresponsible, but potentially dangerous. An anxiety attack can have adverse effects on the victim's health. Not worth it for a meager assignment.

INTRODUCE ACADEMIC REFORM

Unfortunately, an accommodating curriculum isn't very common in schools today. We need to change this, so students who have problems with creative assignments are able to find something to accommodate their needs.

PUSH FOR MORE INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENTS

Some students tend to be introverted, and these large group assignments don't help to work with them. Students shouldn't be forced to pair up with others, where the work distribution is seldom evenly split.

DO AWAY WITH VIDEOS, POSTERS, SONGS, POEMS, ETC.

These forms of assignments are not what most students would consider a comfortable quality assignment. In fact, it's much the opposite. These assignments force students to do things they are uncomfortable with. Even if one were to not do away with these kinds of assignments all together, perhaps offer an alternative.
